At age 28, François Dumont has received numerous awards and accolades. He most recently received the Prix de la Révélation from the Syndicate of Music Critics in France (2012); other highlights include 1st Prize in the Jean Françaix International Competition (2007) as well as 5th Prize in the International Chopin Piano Competition (2010). A recent attendant of Lake Como International Piano Academy, Mr. Dumont has appeared as a soloist and with orchestras throughout France, including performances at the Salle Pleyel, Théâtre du Châtelet, and Salle Gaveau in Paris. He recently had his Russian debut with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra in St. Petersburg. An active chamber musician, Mr. Dumont is a member of the critically acclaimed Trio Elégiaque and has performed extensively with esteemed soprano Helen Kearns. Festival appearances include Festival Radio France Montpellier, Festival d’Auvers-sur-Oise and Hamburg International Steinway Festival.
